Stop explaining. Start lowering the cost.
The more you explain, the harder it is for them to move.
They’re not moving.
Again.
So we explain.
Again.
Slower.
Clearer.
It feels like the right move.
If they understand, they’ll move.
But nothing changes.
Of course it doesn’t.
So we explain more.
More detail.
More urgency.
More pressure.
It gets worse.
Of course it does.
Explanation increases cost.
More words.
More to process.
More to hold.
And when the cost goes up —
movement goes down.
Try this instead.
Say less.
Lower the first step.
Start where they can move.
Not:
”Clean up your things and get ready.”
Try:
”Put this here.”
Movement doesn’t start with understanding.
It starts with something that’s easy to do.
On Thursday, I’ll show you what this is actually doing.
